Mendocino Trip: May 26-29

Spring is here and its time to start planning our annual trip to Mendocino Woodlands Camp.

This trip is a wonderful adventure for the kids, families and family friends. Each family has their own private cabin built during the WPA with a fireplace and balcony nestled in a redwood forest (no electricity or running water in the cabins but fully equipped bathrooms nearby). The camp includes a sunny meadow, large lily pond with frogs, beavers and dragonflies and a nearby river for swimming and sunning.

We cook together in a large, well-equipped kitchen and the evenings are filled with music, card and board games, children playing and conversation. The town of Mendocino is about a twenty-minute drive from the camp and the nearby coastline has many beautiful spots to visit.

  • Our group will occupy Mendocino Woodlands Camp 1 and cabins are claimed upon arrival.
  • The full cost for your WPA cabin for 3 nights & food is $140.00 per adult (over 12 years old), $115.00 for the first child, $85.00 for subsequent children; children under two years old are free.
  • Return a paper copy of the sign up form to the office asap to secure your spot.
  • Each adult is required to sign up for 2 shifts throughout the weekend and everyone is required to help clean up camp on the day of our departure.
